More recently, the company extended into the cloud and server realm with its Layers Software Suite, which includes mixing, streaming and FM software hosted on a local server or running on cloud data centers. 

Now, for the 2024 NAB show, Wheatstone is adding Reliable Internet Stream Transport (RIST) protocol to its AoIP technology and running its Layers software on Amazon Web Services (AWS) Global Accelerator. 

RIST connectivity provides the error correction necessary for realtime media delivery across any IP link. AWS Global Accelerator is Amazon’s private network made for media with high availability and security features critical to 24/7 broadcasting. 

Wheatstone will be demonstrating the infinite studio during NAB, West Hall, booth W1731, as well as its SystemLink® MPX over IP transporter for the complete cloud-based or local server FM air chain.

Wheatstone introduces a sleek digital console line this NAB show designed for Audioarts budgets but built to Wheatstone top-line console standards. 

The new Audioarts Lyric DML 12 and Verse DML 8 are plug-in ready digital consoles in a sleek, one inch thin tabletop profile. 

Included are USB direct-to-fader input(s), plus Bluetooth in the case of the DML 12, for PCs, phones, players and other external devices. A WheatNet IP app is optional for direct digital output to a WheatNet IP audio network. 

Features include three stereo program busses, AES3 inputs via RJ45, mic preamp(s) and built-in cue speaker. The new digital consoles add to the Audioarts studio line of headphone amps, talent stations, consoles and control surfaces. 

Audioarts Engineering is a sister brand to Wheatstone. Both are engineered, manufactured and supported under the same roof in Wheatstone’s New Bern, North Carolina, factory. 

Wheatstone will be showing its complete Audioarts Engineering line during NAB, West Hall, booth W1731, as well as its WheatNet IP audio network studio and audio processing lines.
